- What inspired you to design Dom Lardy?

- Elena and Benoit wanted to create a warm place where guests would feel like invited friends. So, I decorated the houses to make guests feel 'at home'! Then an awareness of ecology and respect for nature led me to choose natural materials such as linen and wood. To add charm and warmth to the house, I found some old objects. As for the colours, I made sure they were harmonious and soft.

- How does the Russian countryside look like from a Frenchwoman's point of view?

- It is beautiful and wild, and the dacha dwellers enliven this nature with beekeeping, flowers, jars of vegetables and beautiful gatherings, as they did in the village of Loma.

- What famous Russian personalities inspire you?

- Tolstoy, who was a landowner and loved nature, and Vasily Polenov or Serov, who could paint Russian nature so well.

- Which French furnishings have become 'Russian'?

- I decorated the French izba room with a "boudoir" type sofa, "floral" curtains and beautiful tablecloths which reminded me of the French chic of the countryside.
